I'm getting heavier into wheeling/camping trips with a growing family of jeep owners and needed a cooking solution that was compact, complete, and easy/quick to clean for weekend adventures. This skottle has worked perfectly for this and enhanced our current cooking methods in ways I honestly didn't expect.

While it does take some practice to master cooking on it, it is just so much FUN to cook on. It becomes the center of the campsite and conversation every time. Learn to manage the temperature zones and you can cook anything on this skottle. Our preference tends to be pasta and burrito dishes but continuing to learn more and more tricks each trip!

I am not gourmet camp cook by any means and leaned more towards freeze dried alternatives, etc. when camping as a result. All that has changed. We eat like we are at home now with ease and have improved as a result. If this type of cooking is your style, give this skottle a try for sure. We don't camp without it and even use it at home which was very unexpected.

I did have a recent issue with a zipper pull on the case and a leg adjustment nut breaking... didn't affect the skottle operation of course but it was a nuisance. I reached out to Tembo Tusk and without question or delay they mailed out replacement parts immediately at no cost. This is a more expensive product than other options out there, but you ultimately get what and WHO you pay for. I would not hesitate to buy again from Tembo Tusk. Already have my eye on a few other products!

I’m kinda on the fence about this one. Build quality is excellent. Extremely easy set up and tear down. Really small footprint for storage. I’ve only cooked on it twice. Clean up super easy. it’s really good for one course simple meals. I found myself wishing I would’ve brought my camp chef two burner stove. At the very least a single burner stove. It’s nice to have a burner for beans or rice or whatever. To be fair and it’s an excellent addition to my camp cook set up albeit an expensive one. But you get what you pay for. It’s American made so it’ll last forever. All the accessories are quality. Adjustable legs are a big bonus to get the cooking area level. I honestly need more time to give my honest opinion but so far I gave it four stars.

Great product and service

This is an amazing product! I rarely do a review but this one needs a praise report. Simple design that will last a lifetime or at the very least past down for generations. The owner personally replied to an email provide additional confidence in his product. It's light and compact and easy to set up almost anywhere.
